James has 23 years experience as a primary school teacher including 5 years as an AST in the effective use of ICT in the classroom. He joined Bradford's Curriculum Innovation Service in 2008 as a Curriculum Innovation Consultant and is a qualified TEFL tutor, E-Safety Mark Assessor, CEOP Ambassador, an Apple Professional Development Trainer, an Education City Accredited Trainer and a Purple Mash Certified Trainer. He was given the opportunity to form an Independent Educational Consultancy (Langley Associates) in April 2016.
James was one of the co-founders of bMobLe (Bradford Mobile Learning Conference) and is well known for using technology effectively in Early Years and outdoors. He has presented nationally and internationally on the effective use of geocaching in schools. He is passionate about ‘Games Based Learning’ and raising attainment across the primary school curriculum through the effective use of new and emerging technologies.
He has presented at the Bradford Headteachers Conference, NAACE Conference, NGfL Conference, several bMobLe Conferences, German Military Schools Conference and has helped organise dozens of Teachmeets. As an Independent Consultant he has already delivered a very successful keynote at the Informatics Computing Conference in Zagreb, Croatia on behalf of the British Embassy and delivered very popular geocaching workshops at the E2BN Conference.
During the Summer, James works as a wave leader for the NCS (National Citizen Service) programme helping 15-17 year olds to succeed in new challenges, embrace new experiences and make their mark on the world.
Niki has been teaching in primary schools for the past 11 years spending many of them in year 6. She specialises in English and has been a leader of this subject for 9 years. She was an assistant head and she has very high expectations. As well as English, she is a keen artist and she enjoys combining art with writing.
She currently teaches freelance for Pobble. Niki delivers creative writing workshops to primary aged children across the country. She has gained a vast amount of experience from this and gained knowledge in delivering to a wide range of needs and abilities.
All her lessons are fun, creative and child centred. She has a passion for creative writing. Images and artefacts are key to her lessons. Niki believes in awakening the imagination of the child as well as improving grammar and spelling. Using the children's interests are embedded in her plans. Her goal is to get the best from pupils and show their potential.
Rachel has a degree in Business Management and 10 years experience working in the business to business sector. She has managed an events business where she organised and delivered a huge range of events from large conferences to corporate hospitality and incentive trips.
She demonstrates the ability to think creatively and has developed strong influential relationships throughout the course of her career. She’s passionate about education, fitness and improving opportunities for children.
She now has 3 children of her own and is currently studying a level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Rachel is enjoying her new role in exploring exciting opportunities for the business sector at Langley Associates.
